OMG, have you read her other book, Once There Were Wolves? It’s INCREDIBLE – I actually read it before Migrations and have also preordered her next book, Wild Dark Shore which comes out in a month!

I agree with the suggestion to check out her other book.
If he enjoyed the environmental aspect of the book, he may also enjoy Greenwood by Michael Christie or The Overstory by Richard Powers.
