I have not been much of a fantasy fan for some reason. Couldn't even get into the HP series as a child. But I'd like to get into fantasy now, preferably some that have good worldbuilding (main reason I am looking into this now) but preferably is not too lengthy (like spanning multiple volumes). Something engaging, emotional, and it'd be nice if the central protagonist is a girl/woman. I have not read any fantasy so far as I was intimidated by the sheer length, so I am not even sure good worldbuilding and relatively short fantasy are possible together honestly, but I had to ask. Thank you!
