Getting back into reading more. I am not a super picky reader but I need the characters to be human in order to be invested. I love dystopian society books and have loved the Fourth Wing series because dragons + humans lol. I do not do well with worlds like ACOTAR. I don't care if the writing isn't incredible; I like some spice but not smut. I'll list some of my all times favs below within and outside of the dystopian-esque genres:

    • The Hunger Games Series
    • Fourth Wing
    • Never Let Me Go
    • Fahrenheit 451
    • In Cold Blood
    • Harry Potter
    • The Giver
    • After I Do
    • Rebecca Serle books
    • Emily Henry + Abby Jimenez books

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik is Hogwarts as a horror setting with the politics taken seriously.

      [**Red Queen**](https://amzn.to/4jAvERE) by Victoria Aveyard

A thrilling mix of dystopian and fantasy, set in a world where society is divided by blood—those with silver blood have incredible powers, while reds are commoners. When a red-blooded girl discovers she has abilities, she is thrust into a deadly political game.

[**The Bone Season**](https://amzn.to/4hHi7Wy) by Samantha Shannon

A dystopian novel with fantasy elements, following a clairvoyant woman in a futuristic society controlled by a repressive government. Packed with intrigue, romance, and rebellion, this book delivers on strong human characters and immersive world-building.

I attached the links in the titles above to their Amazon pages for you to check them out. Enjoy!

    3. If you can get over the not excellent writing in the first book (and annoying obvious trope), the Red Rising series might be interesting go you. 🙂

    4. The Earth Girl trilogy by Janet Edwards is kind of a hidden gem; it never seems to make it onto the dystopian lists, but I think it’s much better written and more creative than some of the better known series.
