Woman, Eating by Claire Koda, Matrix by Lauren Groff or anything by Otessa Moshfegh, Mona Awad or Halle Butler.
Brotherless night by V. V. Ganeshananthan. Just finished it. Since you seem to have similar taste to me, female authors/characters, literary fiction, themes of the tragedy and beauty of life. It’s a novel about a young woman growing up during the Sri Lankan civil war in the 80s and navigating that with her own education, role in the movement and her relationships with her brothers as they become more radicalized. Very beautifully written and had me in tears at times.
