one of my favourite relationship dynamics in literature is enjolras and grantaire from les miserables and i would love to discover more books that focus on a similar dynamic.
for those unfamiliar, to be reductive, it’s one person who is ambitious and believes in good and one person who believes in nothing except the believer. he would follow him anywhere, worships him, etc, even though they’re opposites.
i don’t mind if it’s romantic or platonic, unrequited or required, or the genders, but the dynamic is so fascinating to me and i want to explore it more.
