I used to read quite a bit before but was never the serious reader type. I picked up Jane eyre to restart and it didn’t work, and then I picked up seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I finished it in 2 days lol, please don’t judge I’m new to this.
I have loved reading the shining, some agatha christie reads and now this Evelyn Hugo read, and I used to love reading wattpad period dramas (the ones that went ahead and got published). I know there’s absolutely no pattern here probably, but can you please suggest something in one or all of these “categories”?
I think I like books with big dramatic moments, for example in Jane eyre though it’s a great period drama nothing notable happens except may be finding his first wife in the attic it’s a very ordinary story may be I can’t read that deep, which is why I kinda didn’t finish it could also be because I knew what happens beforehand.
Anyway will be greatly appreciated from someone trying to escape through books as life’s getting hard.
