If anyone is looking for a fantasy book that is reflective of today’s climate without hitting toooo close to home, but enough to make you think please read Esrahaden by Michael J. Sullivan. It is the 3rd in a series centered around the rise and fall of an empire but can be read alone. It is one of the best fantasy books I have read ever.
