If you want to dive into classics and historical war books for that aesthetic, here are three essential reads:

      • [The Iliad](https://publicdomainlibrary.org/en/books/the-iliad?utm_source=reddit.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=suggestmeabook) by Homer – An epic war story that every classics enthusiast should know.

      • [War and Peace](https://publicdomainlibrary.org/en/books/war-and-peace?utm_source=reddit.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=suggestmeabook) by Leo Tolstoy – A sweeping historical novel about Napoleon’s invasion of Russia.

      • [Crime and Punishment](https://publicdomainlibrary.org/en/books/crime-and-punishment?utm_source=reddit.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=suggestmeabook) by Fyodor Dostoevsky – A deep philosophical and psychological classic.

These books will give you that intellectual and pretentious edge you’re looking for!

    2. A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy. a classic that you can brag about reading while enjoying the ride at the same time
