Looking for a good book with character development and where a broken person learns to heal with others who are also broken

Let me first start off with it NOT BEING ROMANCE PLEASE!!! A book like "no longer human" except less depressing, and an actual way to deal with the problem. A book like the movie "Hello Ghost" (a korean movie where a guy meets ghosts who help him find meaning). I want a book with meaning, and a good ending.
