I'm working on my second novel and am looking for some inspiration. It's a horror story loosely based on Moby Dick, and it's set in space. Spaceship, boat, submarine settings, etc. are welcome; it doesn't have to be sci-fi. I prefer to read stories about ladies. Horror would be LOVELY, but that's hard to come by. Does anyone have suggestions? 🙂

Railsea by China Mieville is quite literally a modern take on Moby Dick, and one of the three protagonists is a female captain.
