One of my goals for this year was to read a work of Russian literature every month. I’m still finishing my pick from last month, but I’d like to keep up with this goal by the end of the month. I’d like to keep it to novels/novellas rather than short stories but I’m open to any recommendations.

    What I’ve read so far:

The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov (favorite book of all time)

Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky (amazing)

White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky (it was good but it wasn’t as great as it gets hyped up to be)

The Dream of a Ridiculous Man by Fyodor Dostoevsky (it didn’t click for me)

Diary of a Madman by Nikolai Gogol (I remember thinking it was only okay, don’t remember much about it)

The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy (it was really good!)

I’m currently reading 7 books and have 5 library loans (all my holds came in at once!) so something on the short side that I can get to once I finish all my current reads would be great.

    Thank you in advance!
