TLDR (too long didn't read). I don't know if that's even needed since this is a book suggestion reddit, so I'd make an educated guess many here have the patience and attention span to read….

Ok, so if not, here's the TLDR:

*You have a potentially sight threatening rare eye condition….

*Are there any books on mentally visualizing improved health about a potential eye health problem flowing from another eye health problem?

(I know a study wrote that 85 percent of what we worry about doesn't happen, but 15 percent is still high when it comes to one's vital eyesight. It's very scary, the prospect of potentially going blind)

My family doctor or Primary Care doc, a caring man, said that it does no good to waste energy worrying about some health issue that might happen in the future

My own thoughts? I might not even live to reach the point of eye disease progression….I'm in my lower 50s right now.

    Background:

Hello seeking advice please. Maybe an optometrist here in this FB group can help? This may be unrelated, and I'm sorry for that. I'm a dry eye sufferer, but equally important if not more, is that I have cornea neo vascularization and there's no facebook group on this, nor is there a reddit sub reddit forum to discuss this strange disease. One of the causes is from quality wearing contacts for 40 plus years back in the early 1980s, the quality of the contacts had less oxygen breathability. This Corneal Neo Vascularization is similar to hypoxia, but I recently learned that contrary to my top notch Cornea Opthalmologist who only has 13 yrs experience & does Lasik, *Even if* I don't wear any contact lenses, there's a new albeit rare danger of these blood vessels inside the perimeter of my cornea to deposit lipids (fat/chloresterol) causing obscurity and God forbid total blindness. I'm kind of upset at this cornea specialist opthalmologist because he said in June of last year, if I stopped wearing contacts, there's no chances of the little veins inside my cornea from growing centrally and blinding me.

When I emailed him recently as in 2 weeks ago, he was like "I wouldn't worry about that now, but if it does happen it progresses slowly and we would be able to intervene." The "intervening" is cautherizing these blood vessels (with Argon lasers) which can be problematic in other sight – threatening ways. My glaucoma specialist shook his head "no" confidently that this Lipid Keratopathy isn't a concern.

But my general practitioner family doctor said that in medicine, doctors can't say no it's not possible or won't happen for sure, they can only say it's super rare.On quora, a 40 year esxperience ophtalmologist wrote in reply to my question that the cases of substantial Lipid Keratopathy from his experience is Viral (as in herpes related, not contacts-related)….and the chance of the slight blood vessels in my cornea (depositing lipids because they are free standing & not structurally sound) depositing lipids (fats) that cloud my vision potentially blinding me is quote "close to zero especially if I stop wearing contacts." Should I form my own facebook group and find others who have Cornea Neo Vascularization and set the FB group to Closed and find out other people's experiences? How do I find out for sure. I have an April 2025 app't for another cornea specialist with 35 years experience at a University hospital, but till then I'm still very worried.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
