I recently read The Relic Master by Christopher Buckley and really enjoyed it. Additionally, as a kid, Horrible Histories were among my favorite books.
I'm looking for more books set in a historical background. I don't really mind which era or period of history it's in (up until the cold war is fine). I prefer fiction over non-fiction, but am open to all books as long as they're on the lighter side.
My only 2 criteria are I want to laugh(softly chuckle) and I want to learn something about the past.
