Hello 👋
I've never read a western unless you count Brokeback Mountain. I would love to read a western adventure that's least problematic possible. Granted, never really reading the genre idk if they're problematic to begin with, but I can guess. And by problematic I mean racist, sexist, transphobic (although I doubt westerns even talk on trans people 🤷♂️), and many others, although I again doubt westerns would touch on them, but idk.
Thanks in advance!

you are barking up the wrong genre tree. all books have “problematic” elements you will find if you go looking for them, and the western as a cultural thrust is inherently “problematic” because it is inherently racist, colonialist, sexist, et cetera
if you want a western surface aesthetic with as few problematic elements as possible, try gay cowboy romances set in the modern day
