Are any of “The Giver” sequels by Lois Lowry worth reading?

I loved the first book, and it was one of the best books I read when I was a kid. I heard the sequels aren't as great, but if they're interesting I'll still give them a read. That and I want to know that happens to Jonas, the main character of the story.
