Not the usual thing l'd post, but l I figured I would post this anyways

l used to read a good bit when I was younger and still in school. Before I really got big into smoking weed all the time and ignoring everything, l'd find myself in the library at school more times than I could count. That eventually turned into me getting a library pass at a local library, and going from there. Over the years I've read less and less and as of right now, I only have a handful of books on my desk. A couple of those being copies l've had for years of some of my favorite books l've read

On my desk right this second I have…

    Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut

    The Shining by Stephen King

Johnny Got his Gun by Dalton Trumbo

    Endurance by Alfred Lansing

    Shogun by James Clavell

The Storm before the Storm by Mike Duncan
The only one of these I haven't read is The Storm before the Storm and that's because I got it very recently and just haven't picked it up

Slaughterhouse Five is easily one of my favorite books l've ever read as I first read it at a time where I felt I needed to read it? If that makes sense

Reading Slaughterhouse Five when I did pushed me to read a LOT more Vonnegut, and because of that he's become one of my favorite Authors

Stephen King, of course, being another favorite of mine. I've read a lot of his stuff as well

I do plan on reading the rest of the Asian Saga by James Clavell eventually, as Shogun (as long as it is), was an amazing read and I really wasn't expecting it. So l'll definitely check those out. King Rat and Tai-Pan in particular I want to get to

Besides all that, l've read the classics. Nineteen Eighty-Four, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, V for Vendetta. I've also read a fair bit of Edgar Allan Poe, though far from everything he's done. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is another personal favorite, though unfortunately I no longer own my original copy. The same goes for All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. I loved it, but no longer own my copy

So, with all that out of the way… Where do I begin?

What should I look for based off of all that?
