I’m in search of a monthly/bi-monthly subscription service for my one year old, that will send a variety of age appropriate books covering an assortment of topics and themes.
I’ve noticed my husband and I tend to pick the same themes over and over again (so she has a ton of animal themed books, or dragons, or plants…but only one with, for example, cars) and I think someone else picking might bring in ones that we would otherwise never pick up.
We were using Literati but I wasn’t happy with the variety or the quality control. Scholastic doesn’t do a subscription type service for her age range, and we aren’t in an area that Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library services.
Thank you!

Highlights is the old standby. Even if they can’t read the pictures are good, and it’s interesting enough for parents
Is the library an option? Often times, you can find themed lists of children’s books on their website.
I got my toddler nephew a subscription to Ladybug and he seems to enjoy it. I grew up with Cricket magazine, and they have several spinoffs for different ages now.
