I know the title might seem a bit like two wildly different genre's but I'm recently trying to get back into reading. I have ADHD and while it's very manageable, reading is still one of those things that I struggle to actually focus on for long periods of time. Because of this my library isn't anything special and my list of read books is smaller than the summer reading list for high school language arts class.

Some books I've read and enjoy: The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code, The Lost Judgement, and most recently Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential.

For fantasy books I'm more looking for starting places. It's a bit overwhelming as there are so many different fantasy writers and each writer has so many different individual series within series that its tough to find the beginning.

For travel books, this is a more difficult thing to get across. I'm a huge fan of Bourdain's No Reservations and Parts Unknown, so I'm looking for books that are somewhat similar in tone, if that makes sense. I'm nearly finished with Kitchen Confidential and I'm not really sure what I thought the book was, but it didn't really scratch the itch. It might be easier to say the philosophical aspect of travel is what I'm more looking for, but not written as a text book.

Any help is always appreciated! I'm really trying to branch out but it's so hard when you have so many choices that it can be easy to get discouraged.
