I’m looking for polemical authors or recommended books by polemicists, preferably contemporary, but classics are okay too. I’ve read some highly technical and compelling theoretical discussions about certain subjects, but most of the time I end up feeling demotivated about them, because they’re presented in an overly cold and extremely careful manner.
Instead, I’m hoping to find that “spark” that only a good polemicist can ignite, even if their work misses on substance in order to achieve it. I’m not necessarily asking for intentionally divisive books, but I presume they usually go hand in hand with this type of authors.
