Basically what the title says. Recently, I just got finished reading Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, My Year Of Rest & Relaxation by Eileen Moshfegh, and am currently reading Perfume by Patrick Suskind. In desperate need of books similar to the above haha

The Magus by John Fowles. No idea what happened, still. Didn’t hate it.
Bunny! By Mona Awad
{{The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon}}
Any of the David Wong books, starting with John Dies at the End
Panspermia is bananas
I feel like most John Irving books, especially his earlier ones, like *Hotel New Hampshire*, and T*he World According to Garp* are absurd. Not in the same way as *My Year of Rest and Relaxation*, but definitely not a normal situation.
Piranesi. It is a little different, but I absolutely love it. Which to be honest suprised me. Not the type of book I usually gravitate toward
I’m thinking of ending things.
Hard-boiled Wonderland and The End of the World by Murakami
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. It was STRANGE and had some very interesting perspectives on society and social norms (of Japan bc its a Japanese book, but it’s still relevant in other places too)
I will also suggest Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Miller if you liked My Year od Rest and Relaxation, it has similarly chaotic and unhealthy characters.
Maeve Fly by CJ Leeds was super bizarre. Haven’t read the others but it was strange. Also I couldn’t wrap my head around Earthlings.
Another Roadside Attraction by Tom Robbins. His books are wild.
Rant by Palahnuik
The Hike by Drew Magary
Katzenjammer by Francesca Zappia
{{ Beautiful You by Chuck Palaniuk }}
Not a great book, but completely absurd.
Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. Insane.
The Coin is excellent
Earthlings by Sayaka Murata, and although less disturbing, The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins — quite unlike anything else I’ve ever read!
Tender Is The Flesh
The Master and Margarita
Piranesi
The Hike by Drew Magary is easily the weirdest book I have ever read. If you want absurd and hilarious, I’d recommend Starter Villain by John Scalzi.
The Master and Margarita
The Red Book (or Liber Novus) by Carl Jung
