i want a very specific romance(?) book rec where the fmc/main love interest choses HERSELF instead of being together with her partner even though both characters are in love & cannot live without each other……

to be even more specific, the partner fights tooth & nail for the fmc to choose them & their love for each other but even though the fmc loves the other person & would WANT to be with them, she would rather chose herself & her life path instead of being with the other person & she's satisfied with making that final choice even if it hurts her. idk if y'all get what i'm saying lol. anyways idk if this type of romance exists but if it does, i NEED some recs please, thank you :')🙏🏼🤍
