I'm trying to get a book for my sister who loves fantasy with an emphasis on world building – some favorites are The Poppy War series, ACOTAR, anything by Sarah J Mass tbh lol, etc.
I am not a fantasy reader and am not on booktok so I have no idea what to get. A few books we both liked is Katherine Arden's Bear and the Nightingale series, and her standalone The Warm Hands of Ghosts.
I'm looking to get her a gift of either a standalone or a series with 2-3 books max, so I can buy all of them. Weird request but please no fantasy with weird covers from the early 2000s lol, and emphasis on pretty books with good worldbuilding!
