Looking for books similar to Night Film and Murder in the Family, where you get to piece together clues and data provided in the book to solve the mystery yourself. Any recommendations?
There’s a Sherlock Holmes “board game” (it’s not much of a traditional board game) exactly like that. I’m pretty sure you can play solo. There’s a lot of reading. It’s called Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. https://a.co/d/9GdDmCB

I haven’t read either of these, so I can’t say how similar it is, but **The Appeal** by Janice Hallett is an interesting self-solve murder/mystery book. The entire book is made up of texts, emails and conversations. Some information is missing. Some isn’t in order. As you go through, you are able to work out who you think is the killer, and why.
