Going to Scotland later this year! Spam me with your favorite Scottish reads and Scottish authors! I’m a fan of historical fiction, romance, magical realism, fantasy, humor, and contemporary fiction! So basically – I’m not too picky 😜

Alasdair Gray: 1982, Janine and/or Lanark
Irvine Welsh- Trainspotting
Anything by [Irvine Welsh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irvine_Welsh) (wrote Trainspotting). I read Young Mungo by [Douglas Stuart](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Stuart_(writer)) — but his first book, Shuggy Bain won awards.
My dear friend is a PhD studying the writings and legacy of Agnes Owens, who was a dear friend of Alasdair Gray. 10/10
Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street is great 😃

Luckenbooth by Jenni Fagan
