Fingersmith – Sarah Waters
this was such an engrossing book! I couldn’t put it down. The characters felt so real to me. It was so atmospheric too I could almost taste the London fog.
A Thousand Splendid Suns – Khaleed Hosseini
it would sound so wrong if I said I enjoyed this one lol but it left such a mark on me I still find myself thinking about Mariam and Laila
Madonna in a Fur Coat – Sabahattin Ali
the yearning had me on a chokehold, and I really liked how everything unfolded in the end. It was such a short book, but it didn’t feel like it. I felt attached to the characters and it was like I was really alongside them experiencing life.
Witchcraft for Wayward Girls – Grady Hendrix
a group of teenage girls causing mischief in a an old and mysterious boarding house?? Sign me up! This was such a fun read and I just found myself rooting for these girls even though I find them annoying sometimes lol
