I finally got into a reading groove! I tend to procrastinate on reading, but I recently finished two trilogies and want to keep the momentum going. So, I’m looking for more books to add to my list!
I enjoy science fiction and unique concepts. I’ll admit I often read popular books, but whatever.
Books I’ve liked:
- Recently read the Silo trilogy – really enjoyed it!
- Currently reading The Three-Body Problem.
- In the past, I read The Maze Runner – not my favorite, but still good.
- Big fan of The Hunger Games and Harry Potter in the past.
- 1984 was decent too.
As a kid, I used to love De Griezelbus (a Dutch horror book series), so I might also enjoy some horror/thrillers. Haven’t read much of that in a long time—maybe Stephen King is a good option?
Would love to hear your recommendations. Thanks!

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells!
I would recommend the Dune Trilogy. The Sphere by Michael Crichton. As well as The Last Murder at the end of the World by Stuart Turton.
Drowning in the Deep by Mira Grant! It features predatory mermaids and a crew trying to figure out what happened to a research vessel. You might also like her Feed trilogy, which is a zombie series, but like post post apocalypse; life has generally gotten back to normal after the virus outbreak. It’s from the pov of a journalist group following a candidate for the US election.
Also seconding the Murderbot series.
