Any recs on books about identity politics debates outside of the USA?

With the DEI program debates raging in the United States now, I would like to read more about how that debate plays out in other countries across the world; topics like affirmative action, how diverse representation is discussed or considered and etc.
I’m wondering if it’s even a debate in more homogeneous nations? (As compared to the USA).

Any reading about this would really interest me. Thanks so much.
