When will we see romance novels where women and men start out fat and STAY fat. Books where a person is rated on their personality, morals, sense of humor, and not on their “thigh gaps” or “washboard abs.”
The amount of times I see, women usually, fatties with authors ending up finding some way for the character to lose the weight is disappointing. Representation matters always. Men don’t always have to be chiseled Adonis types with sharp jawlines and flat stomachs. I, personally, like large men. Someone with a belly and a load of chest hair. Women with thunder thighs I want to gobble. REEEEEAL humans.
Maybe I’m alone in this but I love a book that exhibits true humans.
The BMI is a crock of shit created by people who want thin to be in. If people who think like that can do HALF of what Lizzo does during performances, I’ll eat my socks.
I love you no matter your size.
