    Hey guys,

I'm starting to get into books and while I really enjoy the classics, I find that they center men way too much. Given this, does anyone have any recommendations for classics/modern pieces of literature that pass the Bechdel test

As a little bit of a background, I am a 23 year women who really enjoyed A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and 1984 by George Orwell. I tend to enjoy more philosophical and historical works, and really dislike romance.

Thank you for any of your suggestions!

    1. I know this is being recommended a lot lol, but it’s for a reason.

I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman.

The central character in my favourite book, Life after Life, by Kate Atkinson, is a woman, and the premise is so interesting.

I finished a thousand splendid suns recently too and wow. I like the Nightingale and the great alone by Kristen Hannah, Betty by Tiffany McDaniel
