Listen I’m not above a good crappy romance but I really really do not care for the kind of crappy romance that’s been coming out in the past decade or so. I wanna read something that’ll have me blushing and kicking my feet back and forth but not cringing and dying of boredom. I like romances where the romance is 50% or less of the plot but is still integral to the story? For example, V.E. Schwab is GREAT at this. I also have recently enjoyed books like the ACOTAR series, The Night Circus, and Never Let Me Go. I like action and horror! Brings the gore AND the whore.
