I’m looking for a book about different types of theatre and the way it’s evolved throughout history. Even a book about one specific type of theatre would suffice.
I’m not trying to learn how to act in a play or anything like that. Lately I’m just really interested in the way performances are used as motifs in some of my favourite novels.
Not necessary, but anything with a specific focus on theatre in Ancient Greece, pantomime, or commedia dell’arte would be especially helpful.
