I am hooked on Welsh's stories loosely resolving around consumerism from the perspective of the Leith working class.
Whilst reading the Trainspotting sequel "Porno", I felt a bit uncomfortable with one of the main characters , Nikki, who is a sex worker, being written by Welsh. I'm not sure if he consulted friends with related experiences for help with writing these parts, but I would appreciate reading stories with such heavy themes written by women.
Any suggestions? Thanks
