Hi everyone, I've my English assignment coming up. We've to write an assignment(it's related to gender consciousness )and I'm thinking of doing case study/analysis of books written on female rage/suffering, etc. Sadly the only book I've read in such genre is kim jiyoung born 1982 by cho nam ju. This book has stayed with me for a long time. I was heartbroken and devasted reading it. It made me empathize not only with korean women but women all around the world and women around me. For me that book is poignant and a very good reflection of the status of women in our society. Would really appreciate if the books you suggest are short(below 100/200 pages). Thank you in advance <3

The Power by Naomi Alderman. Definite female rage here. Not as short as you’d like, but it’s exactly what you’re looking for.

Maybe also try The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman.

*Peach Pit* is an anthology of stories about “unsavory women.”

*Woman, Eating* by Claire Kohda is about a young vampire who longs to eat human food.

*Nightbitch* by Rachel Yoder is about a mother who is convinced she’s turning into a dog. I think this is like, the flagship female rage book lately.

You might check out Ottessa Moshfegh’s books, and [HERE’s](https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/d720445c-d4f6-41a3-a612-015f58e1242a) a list of books about unhinged women.
