Suggest me a book or series to help get me out of a rut. I love some series of books, but I am having the hardest time finding something new to enjoy, and keep going back and listening to/ reading the same books over and over again. I prefer sci-fi, or dystopian future.

My go to series are: the Iron Druid Chronicles (Kevin Hearne), The Ender series and Shadow series (Orson Scott Card), The Great Library (Rachel Caine), Star Force (BV Larson). I also loved The Martian and Project Hail Mary, and anything by John Scalzi.

One of my all time favorite books that stuck with me forever is Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer, but anything that sounds "similar" just hasn't made the cut.

I'd appreciate any advice and recommendations.

Try the Glass & Steele series by CJ Archer. Books are fairly short (around 100 to 200 pages), 13 books in the series, magic, mystery, set in Victorian England.

    2. I usually go for novellas when I’m in a reading slump. I’m currently reading ‘I Who Have Never Known Men’ by Jacqueline Harpman. I only started it today and I read almost 100 pages in one go… it was so captivating. I think I would’ve finished it in one go if I didn’t have work to do lol. It’s dystopian fiction. Give it a go.
