My niece is turning 14 next month and she's always been a big reader, reading above her grade. She asked for The Bell Jar for her birthday, and I'm getting her that, but I'd also like to get her another book. In the past couple years she's been requesting romances, and I'm not sure what prompted the Bell Jar request but I loved it when I was a little older than her, so I'm thrilled to get it for her. Anyway, any good ideas for her? I'm thinking maybe either another age-appropriate classic or something newer that I might not be aware of.
