I loved The Mummy growing up as a kid and honestly want some of that in my reading life. I know there’s a new book coming out called What The River Knows which is being marketed as similar to the movie but I was wondering if there’s anything else. The things I love about the movie is the action, adventure with the little mix of the supernatural. For me it definitely doesn’t need a romance plot and if it does I’d prefer it to be a subplot versus a huge deal in the book. Wether that be an established relationship or a developing one throughout.
