I’m going on a vacation with my family next week and my dad (who struggles with depression and addiction) is dreading the trip. My dad is not a reader and hasn’t read a book in years while the rest of my family and I are all big readers, so I’d like to bring a book or two for him to try. I’m looking for a standalone book, male protagonist, with a pretty easy reading level. I think he’d like a fantasy or sci-fi book with simple and easy to understand world building. Thanks in advance!

Auto Biography of someone he likes, comedian, actor. Easy to read, humorous. Also alcoholics and addicts have a hard time concentrating as it is let alone society these days overall. (It’s amazing the any of ppl who come to this sub like “reading isn’t for me, I can’t focus”. Insane.
