Since Project Hail Mary is (with a little exaggeration obviously) basically everyone's favourite book and number one recommendation in this sub I'd love to hear your suggestions for similar books – not necessarily in terms of plot, it doesn't have to be sci-fi (although I definitely won't complain if it is!), just something that's similarly fun, complex, exciting, simultaneously light and surprisingly deep, cleverly written, and sweeps you up right away!
I myself am one of those Project Hail Mary fans always going around recommending it to people lol and I'm a big fan of Andy Weir's Martian as well, but I've re-read both numerous times and I'm looking for something new. I'm aware there's probably nothing quite like PHM but as long as it's a similarly thrilling and entertaining and high quality novel I'm up for it! And if you're here but haven't read Project Hail Mary yet just recommend me the last book you read that you couldn't put down and had you grinning and in tears at the same time like an idiot while on the edge of your seat (as long as it's not of the tiktok-sensation YA kind, that's not quite my jam).
