I recently got into reading, but in general I love works of fiction where the character you're reading is kinda isolated. Something mysterious is going on, maybe thriller, suspense. Not sure how to describe this feeling I'm after. You're as confused as the character is while reading along. Something like that. Maybe some kind of an adventure. I hope this makes sense. I'm less into horror but elements of horror would be ok I guess. I've never really played Silent Hill but I've watched a few videos of it being played, the first one, where the guy wakes up in a weird place and he's not sure what's going on.
I also like it when the fiction is written really well, not just for entertainment but with literary value.
I'd be happy with most suggestions that come close to this.
Non-book works of fiction I have enjoyed in the past:
Severance, TV show
Fallout, game series
Various entries from the SCP foundation, shared fiction project
The Leftovers, TV show
Less related but I loved it so worth including:
Mad men, TV show
Indiana Jones, movie series
Idk what else to include but this is kinda the vibe I'm feeling at the moment
