I love cats and have such a strong bond with mine. I would like to read fiction or non-fiction, I also love beautiful, lyrical writing.
If it's non fiction I would prefer it to be something along the lines of Mary Oliver's writing and not just a description on cat's behavior.

Oh, you need to read The Guest Cat by Takashi Hiraide! It’s the kind of book that doesn’t just tell a story—it breathes. The writing is quiet and poetic, almost meditative, like you’re sitting in a sunlit room watching dust float in the air. It’s about this stray cat that starts visiting a writer and his wife, and without even trying, she changes everything. I wouldn’t call it sentimental, but there’s this deep, unspoken reverence for the way animals slip into our lives and leave imprints we never expect. It reminds me of how Mary Oliver wrote about nature—simple, observant, but layered with so much feeling. It’s the kind of book you read slowly, savoring each word, like a quiet afternoon with a cat curled up beside you. 🐾

the travelling cat chronicles by hiro arikawa if you don’t mind reading translated books
Absolutely second The Travelling Cat Chronicles!!!!!! It’s so cute omg. I’d also suggest The Cat Who Saved Books, and We’ll Prescribe You a Cat.
It’s a memoir but Homer’s Odyssey by Gwen Cooper is about her bond with her cat blind from birth. I read it 10+ years ago and still think about it here and there.
