i would prefer a book like a tv show? every chapter a new cool story?
in a interesting world, full of magic stuff? "kinda" over the top but lovely characters?
kinda like my little pony friendship is magic, slice of life stories with magic and friendship.
or a school like in harry potter, but without the most boring hero and villain i know.

but everything i find is just loooooooooong.
the begin of the stories i find is hard boring.
the characters are average "boring" people.
nothing "interesting" happens on the first 100 pages.
something something saving the world. finding inner strength and stuff.

i enjoyed bruder grimm fairy tales.
these stories has around 3000 words each.
it tells more than some books with 400 PAGES.
and i enjoyed the casual cruelty.
a bit cannibalism. murder a little. a bit non-sexual vore. kinda funny.

it was longer (~220 pages), but every page was interesting.
No boring nonsense just to fill the book up to 400 pages.
no boring and way too long conversations.
no boring and way too complex world building stuff.
just content!
and there were two random attempts to murder the wooden boy. lol
