Wow I feel like crap. So basically I just dnfed Not In Love by Ali Hazelwood. It was the slowest book I have ever read. The plot just barely thickened at around 35% and that frustrated me a lot. Since I read on kindle I have been hesitating looking at how much longer I had in the book when I saw I had almost 7 hours left I instantly returned it to Libby and wrote the book title in my notes to remember it for later. How do you guys get over feeling guilty after dnfing a book? I’m now currently gonna start the fourth wing series and kind of getting excited but also worried because it’s the biggest book I’ve read.

You shouldn’t feel bad about dnfing a book. There are so many books in the world and life is too short and precious to waste any of it pushing yourself to continue reading something you’re not enjoying. I do understand the guilt but it’s okay to grant yourself the freedom to drop what’s not bringing you joy and move on to something hopefully better.
