To make a long story short… I've been goin thru a really rough patch in life lately (isolated from "family & friends", dealing w/ homelessness, battling depression) that's left me pretty much drained of the current state of my reality. This is an honest attempt at a constructive distraction to take me away from here… metaphorically speaking ofc! I'm a strong reader, however I haven't picked up a book for my own enjoyment in over 5 years, it's been even longer since actually finishing a read! I'm trying to change that and turn my life around… it starts with the little things.
Typically I have enjoyed fictional material (Fantasy, SciFi, some mysteries and YA novels from my teens and early 20s), but I've got a wide range of topics of interest that I am open to reading about as well. I enjoy learning new things about topics like spirituality, history, new theories in social or natural sciences, or even anything related to money management/finance that's INTERESTING!!! I'm still in my 20s if that helps with suggestions… all in all I just would like a constructive outlet. I'm even open to novels that may correlate to my current experiences, somethin inspirational or idk somethin that'll make waking up every day a little less dreadful. I DON'T have money to buy any of the books but I DO have a library card and live in a rather large city so I should hopefully have access to whatever suggestions you have. Thnx in advance 🤞🏾
