I've set myself the goal of reading at least 30 books this year after a long time of going through periods of reading lots and then not at all. It's going pretty well so far, I'm about 10 books in so definitely on track to meet my goal.
Right now the challenge is in finding books to fill out the list, I have 27 so far but am struggling to think of any more I haven't read yet. Reading list currently looks like:
- The Word For World is Forest – Ursula K Le Guin
- Neuromancer – William Gibson
- The King in Yellow – Robert W Chambers
- The House on the Borderland – William Hope Hodgson
- Count Zero – William Gibson
- Mona Lisa Overdrive – William Gibson
- Rocannon's World – Ursula K Le Guin
- Planet of Exile – Ursula K Le Guin
- City of Illusions – Ursula K Le Guin
- Left Hand of Darkness – Ursula K Le Guin
- The Dispossessed – Ursula K Le Guin
- The Once and Future King – T.H White
- Five Ways to Forgiveness – Ursula K Le Guin
- The Telling – Ursula K Le Guin
- Riddle Master – Patricia A McKillip
- Redwall – Brian Jacques
- The three body Problem – Liu Cixin
- The Dark Forest – Liu Cixin
- Death's end – Liu Cixin
- Hogfather – Terry Pratchett
- Lord of the Flies – William Golding
- War of the Worlds – H.G Wells
- The Call of Cthulu and Other Weird Stories – H.P Lovecraft
- The Haunting Of Hill House – Shirley Jackson
- The Lathe Of Heaven – Ursula K Le Guin
- City of Saints and Madmen – Jeff Vandermeer
- Kraken – China Mieville
What recommendations do you have based on this list? I know it's very sci-fi and fantasy heavy, but I am open to reading other genres, I'd be especially open to any good horror recommendations
