Basically I'm reading a collection of his poems by Neruda, and I just think the topics he speaks about are repetitive, euphemistically pornographic, and unnecessarily complex and unclear. Am I the only one who has this point of view? I'd love to discuss this with others.
PS: For context, I'm a new reader/bookworm, so maybe I just don't get it from lack of experience and/or culture in this field of writing.

I loved him especially when I was young and just learning to love writing, I found his language painterly and helped make my own writing more vivid. But to each their own 🙂
I’m a huge fan, but only in Spanish. I don’t read him in translation. In my opinion his poetry can’t be translated.
