TL;DR: I am searching for narrative literature about geopolitics so to build a comprehension of how the argument is discussed and then write something using this knowledge.

So, lately I was feeling in the mood to start writing something, it would be my first time writing anything and I would pretty much be exploring a field near to completely new to me. Said so, I decided to settle down on the idea of a story about reaching an idealized "utopia".
However, in order to ground this story in some reality, I want to be able to describe this process in terms of social and political conflict. I feel like both the change in society and the way different nations would interact should play a major role in this story, and here is where I ask for suggestions.
I'm searching for books regarding geopolitics, books that I can read in order to start gathering ideas and inspiration on the methods used when writing about this argument. This is mostly from a narrative sense, for the content of the discussion I am intending to begin reading a list of books in political philosophy and get to know the subject matter closely. However, I lack the narrative skills and the knowledge on how such arguments are tackled in a narrative form. To give an idea, my culture about the topic begins and ends at Tom Clancy.
Also, I am not searching for anything utopia specific. For that I have a list of books to take inspiration from.
