I’m interested in language and how it influences our thinking and cultures. I’ve always found it fascinating and I know some random factoids (ex. Bilingual children learn empathy sooner than children who speak only one language) but I’d love to learn more.
Does anyone have a recommendation for books that cover language and brain development or language in a sociological context? Preferably something that’s engaging and accessible and not too textbook-y. Thank you!
