I’ve seen some of the previous recs here, but they tend to have darker,suicidal, tones.
I’m looking for a book with someone who is very outcast and lonely but finds joy or humor in it.
Something less ottessa moshfegh/sylvia Plath and more Eleanor oliphant/ convenience store woman vibes.
Romance is fine, YA/ middle grade is fine too :). I’m just looking to feel understood lol

She’s not a loser or awkward, but *Diary of a Void* by Emi Yagi is about a lonely woman who decides to fake a pregnancy to basically get out of cleaning the dishes in the office kitchen.
