Ever since I watched it all the way through a couple years ago, I cannot stop thinking about how carefully woven every detail was into that show. Every twist was subtlety foreshadowed and yet hit like a Mac truck, every character was loved and intended, every death had its place and every choice had its ripple into the rest of the world.
I shed tears, I clenched my ass, I gritted my teeth, and I speculated furiously. The world was so engaging on its own and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to learn about it.
I really would love to fall into something like this again but in book form. It doesn’t have to have horror, fantasy, or anime elements but if it does, great!

im reading the stormlight archive and i’ve been enjoying it but I will say it’s a long read and there are some dry chapters.
That is some high ass praise for AoT not going to lie. All You Need is Kill is a japanese light novel with a good twist but it isn’t very long. For a longer format you might like some epic fantasy like Dune , Hyperion , or Malazan Book of the Fallen.
