…or in this case: continue.
I'll explain.
A couple years ago I had the fortune of coming across Robert Crais, a fun crime writer that I've seen compared to Robert B. Parker and Michael Connelly.
I had the fortune of coming across "The Monkey's Raincoat" in a local "Little Free Library" Kiosk, and after a quick trade, I was off to the races reading. I ended up loving the book, Elvis Cole and Joe Pike were like a buddy action team-up straight out an 80s actioner (appropriate, considering the time of publication).
After that… well… I got sidetracked with life and other things.
Now, I'm eyeing Crais' bibliography again with intent to take another crack at it. However, I'm a bit at a loss at how to proceed, so I've come here seeking advice.
Should I continue with the Cole and Pike series, or give one of his other books a try? I had heard interesting reviews about his solo efforts and even that one recent series with the K9 dog.
Much thanks!
